All generations of the Ford Telstar, are
a "badge job" of the respective Mazda 626 generation.
They differ only in cosmetic detail, and minor technical details.
The first generation of the Mazda 626, had no Ford Telstar
derivative, where Ford had the Cortina prior. Japan made a
Ford Telstar model based on the GF-platform, where Australasia
had the Ford Mondeo as the successor.
